BARCELONA, SPAIN, Feb 25, 2013 (MARKETWIRE via COMTEX) -- Mobile World Congress 2013 -- Radvision, an Avaya company -- Radvision, an Avaya Company, Quanta Computer and China Mobile Communications Corporation (CMCC) team to deliver IMS-based HD video calling over TD-LTE -- Market leaders combine to provide hardware-accelerated HD video calling on CMCC's TD-LTE network using Quanta's performance-optimized TD-LTE tablets Who Radvision, an Avaya company, is teaming with CMCC, the leading mobile services provider in mainland China, and Quanta Computer, the world's largest original design manufacturer (ODM) for notebook computers, to deliver mobile video conferencing on world's leading tablets and smartphones.

The demonstration incorporates Quanta's implementation of the Radvision BEEHD - Quanta LiveHD - VoLTE/IMS video client running on Quanta tablets and smartphones over CMCC's TD-LTE network -- an industry first.

The three companies were able to quickly incorporate the LiveHD client capabilities into a Quanta TD-LTE smartphone/tablet while offering device optimization through hardware acceleration. The resulting solution offers high quality HD 720p/30 video conferencing with low battery and CPU utilization and takes advantage of Radvision NetSense bandwidth estimation and adaptation technology, which ensures high quality on mobile Internet connections.
