According to the Forrsights Networks And Telecommunication Survey conducted by Forrester, "enterprises now list mobile and app security among their highest priorities, with 46 percent indicating that improving or implementing mobile security was a 'high' priority over the next 12 months. Another 22 percent deemed this move to be 'critical'." The survey also revealed that, "most firms are worried about device security (49 percent) and securing apps (48 percent) when it comes to developing apps and managing mobile devices." As enterprises struggle with how to embrace the rising BYOD adoption, new management, control and security mechanisms need to be defined to protect the digital enterprise. Application protection of the mobile app itself is therefore a key component of today's security regime.
