Feb 11, 2013 (Close-Up Media via COMTEX) --
Mixbook, a provider of customizable photo books, cards and calendars, has been honored as one of Forbes' America's Most Promising Companies for 2013 - a list of 100 privately held, high-growth companies with bright futures.
According to a release, Mixbook, founded by Andrew Laffoon and Aryk Grosz, is featured in the Feb. 11, 2013 edition of Forbes Magazine as one of "The Nifty 50." The complete list, along with videos featuring Laffoon and other honorees at Aileron Entrepreneurial Institute, is now available on Forbes.com.
"We're thrilled to be recognized by Forbes," said Andrew Laffoon, Mixbook CEO/Co-Founder, who was also chosen as one of America's Most Promising CEOs under 35. "It certainly reinforces the Mixbook vision and our mission to completely redefine the photo book, card and calendar making experience. From our website to new iPhone app, Mosaic, we continue to empower our customers to create tangible, permanent memories from their photos."
Forbes' Most Promising assessment, conducted in partnership with data research firm CB Insights, is based on growth (both in sales and hiring), quality of management team and investors, margins, market size and key partnerships. The 100 companies selected for the list were culled from thousands of applications reviewed over the course of six months.
The top 50 companies appear in the Feb. 11 print issue of Forbes, and the full list of 100 Most Promising Companies is available online: forbes.com/promising-companies/
