SEVEN Networks Adds Mike Ward as Senior VP of Sales and Field Operations
REDWOOD CITY, Calif. --(Business Wire)--
Networks®, a provider of innovative mobile solutions that
manage smartphone signaling and data traffic on wireless networks,
announced that Mike Ward has joined its executive team as senior vice
president of worldwide sales and field operations. He reports to Ross
Bott, SEVEN's (News - Alert) president and chief executive officer.
Ward is responsible for building SEVEN's worldwide customer base as well
as developing and sustaining customer and partner relationships with a
focus on growing the Open Channel™ mobile
traffic management and optimization solution.
Open Channel eliminates the chatter caused by mobile apps that
frequently request network connections for unnecessary updates. The
solution also significantly lowers the amount of signaling and data
traffic on the wireless netwrk by up to 40 percent without affecting
the user experience.

Prior to joining SEVEN, Ward served as senior vice president of sales at
Metaswitch Networks where he spent eight years driving revenues from
very early stage to well over $100 million while building and developing
the company's worldwide sales organization. Prior to that, he held
similar positions at Paradyne Networks and Corvis Corporation leading
the companies' sales teams in domestic and international sales
endeavors. Additionally, Ward was Vice President of Sales at Ascend
Communications, and continued on with Lucent Technologies after their
acquisition of Ascend, where he ultimately led a team of more than 200
with annual revenues well over $500 million.
Ward holds a BA in Electrical Engineering from Virginia Tech and a
Master's in Engineering Management from the University of South Florida.
