Toshiba to Give Presentation at IDEMA Japan January 2013 Quarterly Seminar
TOKYO --(Business Wire)--
Toshiba (News - Alert) Corporation (TOKYO:6502) today announced that Yoichiro Tanaka,
Ph.D., Senior Manager of Storage Products Application Engineering
Department, Storage Products Division, Semiconductor & Storage Products
Company, will give a presentation at IDEMA[1] Japan January
2013 Quarterly Seminar on Friday, January 25. Dr. Tanaka will speak
on "Storage Innovation and Toshiba's Strategy." The
structure of the storage products market of HDDs and SSDs is rapidly
changing with tablets becoming common in the client/personal market
along with PCs. At the other end of the spectrum, use of high speed and
large capacity storage products in cloud computing, big data, and smart
community is evolving as infrastructure to support the client/personal
market and the ITC society. Toshiba will continue to develop
leading-edge technology and products for the drastically changing
storage market by utilizing its strength in HDDs, SSDs and NAND.
