Storeplacer unveils new commerce application development platform
Jan 07, 2013 (Datamonitor via COMTEX) --
Storeplacer, a provider of omni-channel commerce solutions through a suite of commerce APIs, big data infrastructure and cloud-based tools, has unveiled a next-generation commerce application development platform.
Storeplacer's cloud-based solution provides a rich user interface, automated, on-demand scalability, a global content delivery network, big data infrastructure and suite of RESTful APIs. The platform enables unparalleled agility and speed to market by simplifying development with API architecture, interactive documentation and sample code. Users save time and money by focusing on creating the frontend consumer experience instead of worrying about backend infrastructure complexities, the company said.
"Merchants are being forced to react faster to changing preferences while continuing to produce amazing commerce experiences. Consumers desire to shop anywhere from any device whenever they want and expect a consistent, omni-channel experience," said CEO Jason Lobel.
"Cisco reports over 12.5 billion internet-connected devices exist and forecasts over 50 billion will exist by 2020. The infrastructure powering commerce must transform to keep up with scale and agility required for this environment. APIs, open platforms and data-driven experiences that facilitate sophisticated applications will drive the future of commerce. Until now, the barrier for enabling commerce across many touchpoints seamlessly was high."
