Apple sells over 2 mln iPhone 5s on Chinese mainland in 3 days
BEIJING, Dec 17, 2012 (Xinhua via COMTEX) --
Apple Inc. announced Monday that
it had sold more than 2 million iPhone 5 handsets on the Chinese
mainland within three days, starting from December 14.
By the end of December, iPhone 5 will be available in more
than 100 countries and regions.
Apple started to provide iPhone 5 products on the Chinese
mainland on December 14 and users can purchase the smartphone in its
online service outlets and retail stores.
On the same day, Chinese telecom operators China Unicom
(CHU.NYSE; 00762.HK; 600050.SH) and China Telecom (CHA.NYSE;
00728.HK) also began to offer iPhone 5 mobile service contracts with
minimum charges of 5,899 yuan and 5,288 yuan respectively per
