Sleep Infuser® Debuts on IndieGoGo
CAMBRIDGE, England --(Business Wire)--
Cambridge Sound Technologies, a Cambridge, England-based design and
development company working to solve issues within the health, energy
and learning arenas, announces today the launch of its Sleep
Infuser® IndieGoGo campaign in the US and the UK. The Sleep Infuser
intertwines healthy sleep-pattern algorithms - a carefully-designed
pattern of low pulses - with natural soundscapes to teach and coax the
brain into the brainwave patterns of healthy sleep. The Sleep Infuser
IndieGoGo campaign will be used to finalize software and bring the
system to mass production.
"We asked people with minimal to severe sleeping problems to try the
Sleep Infuser, and found it helped them finally receive a restful and
full night's sleep - and for some, it was the first time in fifteen
years," said Colin Aston-James, Co-Creator of the Sleep Infuser. "You
don't realize how 'tiresome' a sleep problem can be until it affects
your productivity, relationships and health. We're just thrilled to
present the Sleep Infuser to the global IndieGoGo community."
The Sleep Infuser looks like a clock radio, is easy to operate and
allows users to customize the cycles and time - anywhere from a full
night's sleep to a quick power nap. Users are able to simply choose how
long they would like to sleep, and it will select the best program to
ease them off to sleep, cycle through the phases of light and deep sleep
and then eventually wake them up gently at the selected time.
Hving originally dedicated years of research to determine how students
'learn to learn' as part of a different study, creators of the Sleep
Infuser, Colin Aston-James and Frederick Donnet, ended up with
technologies on how to change and hold someone in a particular state for
optimal learning. They later realized they could apply the algorithms to
the common sleep problem. Unlike sound machines and other sleep aids,
like pills, the Sleep Infuser will not try to overcompensate for the
lack of sleep, but rather will bring users through the healthy, normal
sleep cycles - moving between light and deep sleep throughout the night
- to leave users waking up completely rested.
The way the pulse patterns have been designed - and the patented
technologies that Colin and Frederick have been developing over the
course of the past few years - are the core elements of the Sleep
Infuser, and mark what sets it apart from other sleep systems currently
on the market.
"Much like remembering what comes next in a song after repeatedly
listening to it, the brain follows the Sleep Infuser's hidden sleep
pattern so it naturally is drawn into sleep," said Frederick Donnet,
Co-Creator of the Sleep Infuser. "You will quickly find your brain
copying the pattern in the sounds - relearning your natural sleep cycle
- and after using the Sleep Infuser for a short period of time, your
brain is able to return to these natural patterns by itself."
The Sleep Infuser comes with wired speakers and features customizable
sleep programs consisting of Deep Sleep, Easy Sleep, Fall Asleep and
Power Nap selections, in addition to a variety of natural soundscapes
with the ability to choose the whisper quiet mode. It also has an alarm
clock and seven-day alarm, FM radio, CD/MP3 and headphone jack. The
Sleep Infuser is available in black, white, fuchsia, purple, and pink
color choices.
Available in the US, Canada and wordwide, the Sleep Infuser is now
available for preorder on IndieGoGo, with target availability and
shipping in Spring 2013. In addition to other rewards, Sleep Infuser
backers can take advantage of discounted pricing off the planned MSRP
