Greenbuild Attendees to See How Leading Design and Construction Firms Are 'Making Bluebeam Revu Their Studio' for Real-Time, Digital Collaboration
PASADENA, Calif. --(Business Wire)--
Collaboration is one of the biggest challenges facing today's design and
construction professionals, as project teams of all disciplines and
sizes are trying to find the most efficient way to bridge the
communication gap between team members in the office and at the jobsite.
Beginning today, Bluebeam® Software, leading developer of
PDF-based collaboration solutions, is exhibiting at the 2012
Greenbuild International Conference and Expo. At its booth, Bluebeam
will demonstrate how an increasing number of architecture, engineering
and construction firms are leveraging Bluebeam
Studio™ - an integrated cloud-solution in Bluebeam's flagship
product, Revu
- to share project files online and collaborate in real time.
"Bluebeam Studio makes project information accessible at any time, from
anywhere, and has quickly become the go-to collaboration solution for
the industry's top firms," said Kristine Hopkins, Bluebeam Software
Director of Account Services. "Every month, our users are starting
thousands of new collaboration sessions with Studio so they can connect
and collaborate with project partners around the worl and share
information instantly," added Hopkins.
Studio is a two-part, document-centric solution included in Revu,
Bluebeam's award-winning PDF-based platform solution. Studio includes:
-
Studio projects, acts as a built-in document management
system in the cloud that allows architects, engineers, GCs,
sub-contractors, consultants, owners or any other invited participant
to access, check-out and edit an unlimited number of PDFs and other
file types for free. Only the project host needs to have a licensed
copy of Revu. Files stored in Studio projects can be accessed by any
invited participants using Bluebeam's free PDF viewer, Bluebeam
Vu™ Windows.
-
Studio sessions, enables project teams to collaborate by
chatting and through redlining project PDFs with industry-standard
markups, such as text, highlights, shapes, CAD symbols, and
punchkeys™. Participants can share their feedback in real time or
separately on their own time, while Studio tracks all activity in the
Session record and all document annotations in Revu's integrated
Markups list. Studio sessions can be accessed from a desktop, tablet
PC or iPad, and invited participants who are not currently Revu users
can join the conversation using Bluebeam's free PDF viewing
applications, Bluebeam Vu Windows and Bluebeam
Vu iPad.
"Project teams across the world are making Revu their Studio and
achieving impressive case study results, including tracking projects 40%
faster and achieving a 33% schedule savings," added Hopkins.
