Climate Savers Computing Presents Diversified 2012 Board of Directors [Professional Services Close - Up]
(Professional Services Close - Up Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Climate Savers Computing Initiative, the 700-member global consortium focused on reducing the energy consumption and carbon footprint of information and communications technologies, announced that its 2012 Board of Directors consists of representatives from Cisco, Emerson Network Power, Google, Intel, Juniper Networks, Microsoft, Samsung Semiconductor and World Wildlife Fund.
According to a release, Lorie Wigle, general manager, Eco Technology, Intel, has been elected by the board to lead the Initiative as president for a fourth consecutive term in 2012. Joining Wigle in officer positions are David Jacobowitz, industry alliance program manager, data center operations, Google, elected to serve as vice president, and Sylvie R. Kadivar, Ph.D., director, DRAM Strategic Marketing, Samsung Semiconductor, elected to serve as secretary.
"In 2012 businesses, organizations and people can count on CSCI and its members -- who are leaders in driving sustainable ICT forward -- for the resources they need to realize the environmental and financial benefits of power management and more energy efficient networks," said George O. Goodman, executive director, CSCI.
