Cisco News - Cisco EOS Introduces New Features in Social Entertainment Platform

Cisco has reportedly introduced new customers, features and professional service options for the Cisco (News - Alert) Eos social entertainment platform. The Travel Channel, All Access Today, The Eleven Seven Music Group/Tenth Street Entertainment are among the new customers that have adopted Cisco Eos Platform to power new entertainment websites.
Cisco Eos is a hosted "software as a service" platform that enables media and entertainment companies to more economically create, manage and monetize social entertainment experiences built around their portfolios of branded content. Cisco has also launched a new Eos partner ecosystem program along with new Eos features.
An ecosystem program, the Cisco Eos Partner Program gives customers access to pre-qualified third parties offering services that can help manage, extend or enhance the entertainment experiences built on the Cisco Eos platform.
The Eos platform was adopted by the Travel Channel to deploy Web sites built around its portfolio of travel-related content and brands. The Travel Channel Academy will be launched as the network's first Eos-powered site soon. According to Adam Sutherland, vice president of strategy and business development at the Travel Channel, the Eos platform lets the Travel Channel provide tools for its community to contribute, comment and rate content.
Another new customer of the Eos platform, All Access Today, has started deploying sites for artists like Willie Nelson, The Gorillaz, Peter Gabriel, Sugarland, JLS, and Colbie Caillat. In fact, a new, Eos-powered fan site with an integrated fan club for Willie Nelson will launch later this month.
The Eleven Seven Music Group/Tenth Street Entertainment is using the Eos platform to super-serve the music management and record group's artists and their fans by providing exceptional up-to-the-moment online experiences.
According to Allen Kovac, founder and CEO, The Eleven Seven Music Group/Tenth Street Entertainment, the relationship with Cisco and the Cisco Eos platform allows the company to expand its online presence to offer the best content, interaction and overall experiences for fans and also lets artists operate their Web sites at the most sophisticated levels.
The Eos 2.0 features Facebook (News - Alert) Connect integration to make it easier for consumers to share content with their friends and also to facilitate audience acquisition for media companies. Member group management capabilities of Eos 2.0 enable media companies to create and manage user groups with tiered or special access to premium content or features. In addition, the site migration tools enable cost effective transition of content, data and users from other software solutions to the Eos platform.
The Eos 2.0 will integrate with advertising serving and management providers to provide easy advertising implementations to media companies. In addition, the advanced customization capabilities enable media companies to modify or create their own site functionality on Eos-powered sites. The suite of secure, public application programming interfaces also enable media companies to integrate third-party applications with Eos in order to achieve business goals.
