Cisco News - Advanced Technical Solutions Recognized by Cisco

By Brendan B. Read, Senior Contributing Editor

There is a saying that you are known by company you keep, and for Advanced Technical Solutions (ATS), an IT consulting, systems integration, and value-added reselling firm based in Scott Depot, West Virginia, that is a very good thing.

ATS has become one of the latest Cisco (News - Alert) Partners, and the first one in West Virginia to be recognized as an Authorized Technology Provider (ATP) in the Unified Contact Center Enterprise (UCCE) marketplace. This designation will place ATS among some industry giants on a national scale. Hewlett-Packard (News - Alert), NCR, and AT&T are among the other 26 ATPs for UCCE in the US and Canada.

Participation in the ATP (News - Alert) program is by Cisco invitation only. ATP specific requirements guide partners through rigorous training and knowledge validation to help them develop and demonstrate expertise in the particular area of specialization.

The UCCE ATP allows partners to provide intelligent call routing, network-to-desktop CTI (News - Alert) and contact management solutions to enterprise agents over an IP-based network. These solutions allow any telephone user on a Cisco CallManager to become a Call Center/Contact Center Agent. UCCE Solutions can scale to an unlimited number of agents.

“Authorized Technology Provider Partners are instrumental in helping Cisco successfully deploy advanced networking technologies that deliver operational improvements and a competitive advantage,” explains Richard McLeod, director of unified communications for worldwide channels at Cisco. “As a Cisco Unified Contact Center Enterprise ATP Partner, Advanced Technical Solutions has invested in the skills necessary to bring enterprise-class contact center solutions to our joint customers.”

“To have been invited by Cisco to be one of only a very few select companies who are authorized to offer these advanced services is a tribute to the employees of our company,” says Gary Sims, Jr., President of ATS.  “We have been involved with IP Telephony technologies from early on in our business and are very proud to have been selected.”

“To be a West Virginia based company and be 1 out of only 27 UCCE Approved Technology Providers in the US and Canada speaks volumes about the capabilities and level of expertise of our people and our company,” adds Brian Sims, ATS Vice President. “I know how hard everyone at ATS works to provide the very best service and this achievement means a lot to us all.  This designation will open up new business opportunities for ATS, both in West Virginia and across the country.”
