Cisco News - Logitech Releases UC Peripherals for Cisco Jabber
By Robbie Pleasant, TMCnet Contributor
If you’re using Cisco (News - Alert) Jabber, this new Logitech UC solution just might interest you. With the Logitech (News - Alert) UC Solution for Cisco 725-C, one can get a new enterprise-grade keyboard, complete with phone and video call controls, along with a full-HD Logitech C920-C Webcam, and the Logitech M525-C Wireless Mouse.
The Logitech UC Keyboard K725-C is made to interoperate directly with Cisco Jabber, managing calls for any signed-in users. It has nine keys dedicated for phone and video calls, including keys with visual signals for incoming or waiting calls.
One can create their own virtual workspace with it, working from anywhere with full productivity.
As for the webcam, it provides 1080p HD video, as well as a 78-degree field of view, a privacy shutter, omni-directional dual stereo microphones, and technology that can help compensate poor lighting conditions.
Videos are processed within the camera itself, so it saves system bandwidth before sending it to you.
Then there’s the wireless mouse, ergonomically shaped with soft rubber grips to fit on your hand comfortably. Its Logitech Unifyingreceiver plugs into the keyboard’s USB port, completing the set of comfortable, quality peripherals.
“We value Logitech’s design expertise and innovation in developing enterprise-grade peripherals that help enrich the collaboration capabilities of Cisco Jabber software,” said Phil Sherburne, VP of Enterprise Smart Solutions for Cisco. “The keyboard call controls, in particular, are an important new approach for bridging the gap between the physical and virtual worlds of unified communications – making users more productive and thus increasing return on investment for UC deployments, including those within Cisco’s VXI virtual workspace environments.”
The Logitech UC Solution for Cisco 725-C is available for around $270, while the Logitech C920-C Webcam is also to be sold separately for around $110. All of them are compatible with Cisco Jabber in virtualized environments, with full support for Jabber on Windows expected for the first half of 2013.
All these peripherals are high quality, and very useful for Cisco Jabber users. Comfortable, convenient and effective, they provide a more productive, more ergonomic working experience.
If your work station, no matter where it is, needs new equipment, this might be what you’re looking for.
