By Nathesh, TMCnet Contributor
The Cisco (News - Alert) Developer Network was established to deliver an annual, fee-based support subscription that provides case-based support from subject matter experts who have in-depth knowledge of application development.
Plantronics (News - Alert), a provider of audio communications solutions for businesses and consumers, has now become the preferred solutions provider in the unified communications category of the Cisco’s developer network program.
The network supposedly provides access to Cisco technologies and support resources that enable third-party development of business solutions that unify data, voice, video and mobile communications on Cisco development platforms.
Working with Cisco, Plantronics reportedly developed solutions that enable interoperability with Cisco networking solutions, along with offering enhanced customer care and satisfaction.
Cisco Developer Network ‘Marketplace Solutions Catalog’ listed Plantronics offerings like Savi 700 Series, Blackwire 300/400/600 Series, CS500 Series, Voyager PRO UC, and Calisto 800 Series audio devices as CDN tested compatible.
Using them, users can seamlessly and quickly install a wide variety of Cisco compatible business solutions or services for improving the performance and management of their respective Cisco network.
Plantronics explained that the Voyager PRO UC lets users stay connected to both mobile and PC, irrespective of their location, and is designed for users who are constantly in motion. The company’s Calisto series audio devices simplify the process of answering switching or juggling calls as they make use of one central point for communications and not separate points for each process.
UC solutions from Plantronics are designed in such a way that they work right out of the box, allowing for the easy use of PC communications and multimedia.
Plantronics’ solutions have also successfully passed the information interoperability verification criteria set by Cisco.
