Cisco News - Coyote Point Offers its Equalizer ADCs at a Discounted Rate to Cisco ACE Users
By Mini Swamy, TMCnet Contributor
A couple of months ago, Cisco (News - Alert) stated that it would end development of its application control engine (ACE) load- balancer products as it needed to focus on other business opportunities.
Coyote Point Systems (News - Alert), a provider of enterprise-class application delivery, load balancing and acceleration solutions, has stepped in to ensure that Cisco ACE customers don't suffer. It is offering existing ACE users its Equalizer application delivery controllers at a discounted rate, noted officials.
It is now offering up to 50 percent off of the Equalizer E450GX and E650GX Application Delivery Controllers.
These Equalizer appliances reportedly monitor application and server health and also on server load and application response times. Hence, they are expected to provide the highest levels of availability and performance of mission critical applications.
By switching over from Cisco ACE to Coyote Point's Equalizer, ACE users will experience seamless transition into existing application delivery environments and also improved management capabilities. It is also expected to improve network redundancy and SSL offload and compression and is stated to be IPV6 ready.
"Coyote Point has been dedicated to providing rock-solid application delivery solutions for over 13 years," stated Bill Kish (News - Alert), founder and chief technology officer for Coyote Point Systems.
It also claims to provide the industry's foremost combination of performance, affordability and ease of use offering 24/7 server high-availability, optimized server performance, flexible scalability and secure application and network access.
By making the transition from Cisco server load balancers to Coyote Point's application delivery controllers, Cisco users, according to officials, will have the opportunity to transition to a robust solution that will seamlessly integrate into their current network environment while significantly lowering their total cost of ownership.
In an effort to address growth opportunities in application delivery and load balancing arena, load balancing pioneer Coyote Point Systems has opened a new office in the greater New York metropolitan area. The new facility will serve as the company’s east coast sales and marketing office, according to company officials.
