Cisco News - D+M Group Implements Cisco Cloud-based Hosted Collaboration Solution

D+M Group, a company dedicated to enhancing sound and video solutions, has recently selected Cisco's (News - Alert) cloud-based hosted collaboration solution to improve global communication between the company’s more than 2,000 employees who are located in North America, Europe and Asia.
Cisco is a worldwide player in networking that transforms how people connect, communicate and collaborate. By adopting its cloud-based offering, D+M Group will can easily roll out collaboration applications and services through the cloud as well as increase the depth and frequency of communication between employees, including those brought in through future acquisitions.
Offered to D+M Group through Cisco partner West IP Communications (News - Alert), the solution boasts several capabilities including IP telephony, telepresence, contact center and Web conferencing. These capabilities offer the security, performance and reliability previously possible only with traditional on-premises deployments.
In a statement, John Jackson (News - Alert), vice president, Global Infrastructure and Vendor Management, D+M Group, said, "We've always wanted technology that would help us reduce silos across the company by increasing collaboration. Working with Cisco partner, West IP Communications, we have implemented Cisco's HCS and are already seeing the cloud-based technology drive cultural change at our company."
Cisco's partners offering HCS include service providers, systems integrators, wholesalers and resellers.
In related news, the company recently unveiled multiple enhancements to its collaboration portfolio, delivered via public, private or hybrid cloud models, in order to give customers more ways to access an expanded set of solutions.
