By Raju Shanbhag, TMCnet Contributor

Singlewire Software will be offering provisional support for the release of Cisco Unified Communications (News - Alert) Manager (CUCM) 9.0 for use with Singlewire InformaCast.

Cisco Unified Communications Manager is a UC call control platform that can provide the correct experience to the right endpoint. With Cisco's (News - Alert) unified call control platform, users can simplify voice and video, allow mobility, build productivity and improve collaboration. CUCM offers services including session management, voice, video, messaging, mobility, and Web conferencing.

Singlewire carried out various quality assurance tests with the latest version of InformaCast to validate that the features and functions work properly with the release of CUCM version 9.0. apart from InformaCast 8.1 for Windows, testing included InformaCast VA (Virtual Appliance) version 8.2.

A PDF document that explains all the modifications made to the administrative interface in Communications Manager 9.0 is already published and released by the company. It is available for download on the CUCM 9.0 provisional support page on the Singlewire website. Due out later this year, updates to the user manual will be incorporated into the next release of InformaCast.

“Our customers should feel comfortable running the latest version of InformaCast with Communications Manager 9.0,” stated Jerry Steinhauer, CTO at Singlewire Software. “Everything checks out. With the release of Communications Manager 9.0, we didn’t have to make any code changes to InformaCast or issue an updated release.”

Recently, the company introduced Singlewire CallAware 2.0 emergency communications software for InformaCast. With a license of 100 or more endpoints, CallAware is now provided as a major feature of InformaCast. InformaCast is a full-featured, network-based notification, emergency communication, and overhead paging system that enables users to send an audio and text message to various end points such as IP speakers, Cisco IP phones, SMS text, social media sites, overhead paging systems, and more.
