Cisco News - Amika Mobile Completes Cisco Interoperability Verification Testing and Joins Cisco DN as Registered Developer

By Calvin Azuri, TMCnet Contributor

Amika Mobile (News - Alert) Corporation recently announced that it has successfully completed interoperability testing of its Amika Mobility Server (AMS) version 6.0 with Cisco's Unified Communications (News - Alert) Manager. The testing was conducted to validate critical and emergency alerting capabilities of version 6.0 of the AMS solution. The AMS system generates alerts after picking up disparate sensor events from various sources such as access controls, fire panels, cameras, among others.

Amika Mobile Corporation is one of the specialist providers of critical and emergency mass notification solutions. The company in its announcement said that it has joined the Cisco (News - Alert) Developer Network (DN) and is now a Cisco Registered Developer in the Unified Communications technology sector.

The Cisco DN serves to connect Cisco with different third-party developers of hardware and software solutions thereby ensuring that joint customers are provided with properly validated interoperable solutions. In its new position as a Registered Developer within the Cisco DN, Amika Mobile will provide complementary products to customers and will work with Cisco to address the various needs of joint customers. Customers leveraging solutions like the AMS can quickly and easily deploy an extensive range of Cisco Compatible business applications, devices, as well as services designed to improve their Cisco network with additional capabilities, and with improved performance and management.

Visitors can gather more information on AMS interoperability with Cisco Unified Call Manager, at the developer.cisco.com/group/partner/complex-products website.

Amika Mobile is a privately held company with a special expertise in delivering critical and emergency mass notification solutions. The AMS system has been developed by the company for communities, and other public areas such as airports, shopping centers, and campuses where visitors are free to come and go and are not necessarily pre-registered in a contacts database.
