Cisco News - Tyco Integrated Security Becomes Silver Certified Cisco Partner
By Mini Swamy, TMCnet Contributor
Tyco Integrated Security's efforts to meet the rigorous Cisco (News - Alert) standards of networking competency, service, support and customer satisfaction, came to fruition when it earned the Silver Certification from Cisco.
The certification validated Tyco's broad range of expertise, increasing breadth of skills across Cisco technologies, and its ability to deliver integrated networking solutions as a Cisco partner.
"Our achievement of becoming a physical security company that has been named a Cisco Silver Certified Partner demonstrates our commitment to leading-edge technologies and systems integration," said Jay Hauhn, vice president, industry relations at Tyco Integrated Security.
Becoming a Cisco Silver Certified partner required achieving two Cisco advanced specializations, integration of Cisco Lifecycle Services into Tyco's offerings and high levels of customer satisfaction – all of which Tyco accomplished.
Officials at Tyco noted that the physical security company had achieved specializations in Advanced Routing and Switching and Advanced Wireless LAN, and delivered the integrated and customized technology solutions to meet demand.
In addition, more than 150 Tyco Integrated Security technicians nationwide have participated in extensive training on Cisco Physical Security Products. Tyco has also successfully integrated Cisco Lifecycle Services into its offerings.
By doing all this, and equipping itself to deal with any and all networks and networking issues, Tyco satisfied the pre-requisites for becoming a Silver Certified Cisco partner.
The Cisco Resale Channel Program provides partners with the training required to build sales, technical and Cisco Lifecycle Services skills, and then validates their skills through a third-party audit.
"Cisco is committed to providing tools, training and programs to help drive partner growth, differentiation and profitability," said Surinder Brar, senior director of worldwide channels at Cisco.
