Cisco News - Cisco Awards Business Learning Partner Status to Compass
By Carolyn J Dawson, TMCnet Contributor
Compass (News - Alert) Business Solutions has successfully reached Business Learning Partner (BLP) status for telepresence offerings from Cisco, namely for Compass’ sales and business skills training.
“As a Cisco (News - Alert) Business Learning Partner (BLP) we provide the fundamental business skills required to compete successfully in today’s market combined with product line expertise in a specialized market,” said Donna Wyvill, Content Development Manager with Compass.
Since 2006, Compass Business Solutions has been one of the major providers of video conferencing product line training in the U.S. Compass Business is therefore the only organization to be eligible for the Cisco BLP status.
"As existing videoconferencing resellers pickup the full Cisco product line, and traditional Cisco resellers pickup the TelePresence product line, the need for our specialized knowledge on the sales side of the business is naturally needed,” said Jules Trono, president of Compass. “We are providing our Cisco Channel Partners with the opportunity to choose from a complete portfolio of courses that range from Cisco value propositions and solutions to advanced technical skill sets."
Over the course of the year, Compass is expected to add a variety of courses concentrating on sales and soft skills. Organizations or individuals interested in the training programs offered by Compass in the U.S. and across the globe can visit the website of Compass for further details.
Compass Business Solutions is one of the major providers of telepresence and video conferencing product line training in the country. The company also offers all the necessary resources required for the sales, technical and end-user training for visual communication products.
People are able to enhance their businesses with the training offered by the learning company, Compass Business Solutions, in the use and support of video communication and telepresence technologies. As part of the training lessons, the participants are offered a best practices approach to optimize all facets of video usage and support.
Industry veterans in the field of telecommunication and video technologies launched Compass in 2008. These veterans were also responsible for launching U.S.’s Tandberg (News - Alert) University in 2006.
Compass is the first organization to receive Cisco’s TelePresence Specialist Learning Partner status.
