Cisco News - FusionStorm Offers Turnkey Upgrade for Cisco Unified Communications Manager
By Jacqueline Lee, Contributing Writer
Older versions of Cisco’s (News - Alert) Unified Communications Manager application are at risk, says FusionStorm, a provider of IT consulting, services, cloud offerings and managed services. According to the company, older versions of the Cisco UC application are nearing the end of their useful life or closing in on the end of their product support period.
To fix the problem, FusionStorm is offering an turnkey upgrade program including expert assessment and implementation services. The program will minimize the impact that upgrading will have on production environments.
“Upgrading from early versions of Cisco Unified Communications (News - Alert) Manager can be challenging, particularly for customers that are running in a non-virtualized environment,” said Tony Balistrieri, FusionStorm’s vice president of Partner Strategy. “FusionStorm's systematic methodology ensures that each upgrade will be successful with minimal disruption to the customer's operations. Customers can trust FusionStorm's Cisco certified engineers and voice specialists to ensure project success.”
Companies will reap many advantages from upgrading to the latest version of UC Manager. The new version allows customers to virtualize their communications platform, improve disaster recovery and enhance resiliency. The upgrade also allows customers to utilize Cisco’s deployment platforms, ensuring simplified installation, upgrades and patching.
The new UC Manager also supports the latest IP software features and phone sets. This positions organizations to pursue the latest collaboration and communication tools. In all, enterprises that upgrade to the new UC Manager will enjoy a robust platform that delivers maximum return on investment.
“Cisco has continued to enhance Unified Communications Manager to reduce the cost and complexity of delivering advanced communication services,” said FusionStorm CEO Dan Serpico. “Upgrading to the latest version enables customers to streamline operations, reduce risk and gain the competitive advantages of the latest in IP communications.”
Companies that work with FusionStorm are working with a Cisco Gold Certified Partner holding the Cisco Unified Communications Specialization Certification. FusionStorm’s price quote will include professional services, software, licensing, hardware and maintenance. A free readiness assessment will help customers to identify their unique needs as well as their level of risk.
The FusionStorm network of Cisco certified voice specialists and network engineers have years of UC experience to their credit. The company delivers solutions for system infrastructure, IP communications, networking, storage, database and disaster recovery.
