Cisco News - MILESTONE Achieves Specialization in Cisco Advanced Data Center Architecture
By Anshu Shrivastava, TMCnet Contributor
The Cisco (News - Alert) Channel Specialization Team recently announced that Milestone Technologies (MILESTONE) has achieved the specialization in Advanced Data Center Architecture (DCA). MILESTONE can add this recognition to its resume that includes Cisco technical certifications such as Unified Computing and Collaboration, Mobility and Wireless Networks.
Authorized by Cisco, MILESTONE can now design, sell, deploy and support the Cisco Data Center Architecture to clients across the U.S. Company officials said that the advanced engineering credential will help clients as they move to upgrade their data centers and IT infrastructure with virtualization and cloud computing.
“Achieving our Data Center Architecture (DCA) specialization now allows us to design and sell total data center solutions and to share our deep UCS deployment expertise with any of our clients,” said Jim Glueck, chief operating officer at MILESTONE.
Glueck said that the company has been supporting the Cisco Unified Computing System (UCS), which is the core technology of this specialization, since 2009.
Cisco Data Center Architecture Specialization tests knowledge in selling, designing, installing, and supporting the Data Center Architecture. The Cisco Data Center Architecture Specialization helps the company develop sales, technical, and service capabilities for integrated networking solutions; increase technical competency within the company; and achieve recognition as a Specialized Partner in the Cisco Partner Locator.
“We value the commitment and expertise that MILESTONE has demonstrated and look forward to a successful partnership,” Cisco Channel spokesperson said.
Silicon Valley based MILESTONE operates four business units: Relocate IT, Manage IT, Assess IT and Unify IT. These units have been developed around one central mission that is to help clients solve their business problems using engineering and technology, according to the company. Earlier in April, the company selected FrontRange's SaaS2 cloud solution for its service management needs.
